Best Travel Lenses For Sony A7iii

Here we have some decent lenses for those sorts of photographers who always find themselves on the go.

BEST OVERALL
1. Sony FE 12-24mm F2.8

1. Sony FE 12-24mm F2.8

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Wide Angle
  • Focus Type: Automatic
  • Diaphragm Blades: 9
  • Minimum Aperture: F/22
  • Maximum Aperture: F/2.8
  • Weight: 847g
  • Lens Construction: 17 Elements in 14 Groups
  • Filter Size: 67 mm
  • Motor:4 XD Linear Motors
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 28cm

Fun, nifty, and easy to use, the Sony FE 12-24mm hits the balance of both portability and quality under one roof.

Broad and Ultra Wide

Preserving those beautiful memories through its professional grade Ultra wide angle of view, the lens produces a lovely fisheye effect that lets you see the world with a bigger perspective.

With a focal length of 12mm-24mm capturing close to moderate ranged shoots is like a walk in the park. Moreover, it also lets you get a taste of macro photography by presenting detailed snapshot results.

Constant Aperture Capabilities

Fond of bigger apertures throughout the zoom? Well, this lens produces a cinematic effect through its mind-blowing and wide F2.8 aperture that allows adequate light to pass through it to the crucial sensors of your Sony A7iii giving you images and videos as bright as a day.

Even carrying out sessions in the evening isn’t an issue as the constantly wide aperture capabilities will help assist you in low light situations like a champ.

Smooth Rounded Bokeh Effect

Keep in mind that the aperture may not be as big as F1.8 or even F1.4, but it still delivers one of the most gorgeous bokeh effects that you may have seen. Making it quite suitable for taking it outdoors especially if you are on a long journey.

Quad XD Linear Motor Drive

My traveling photographer buddies would love this lens as the 4 XD linear Motor drive on this bad boy is by far the fastest autofocusing motor drive in the market and is very much suitable for tracking moving subjects such as birds, animals, and even cars with ease.

No Compromise on Resolution

Oftentimes lenses suffer from resolution drop especially if the images or portraits taken with them are zoomed in and the details may seem pixelated, however, with the triple XA (extreme aspherical) glass, you will have a complete corner-to-corner resolution no matter the focal length.

Testing Results

The moment I paired this lens with my Sony A7III, the synergy I felt between my camera and this magnificent wonder had me perplexed.

Although I have reviewed tons of lenses in the past, this one specifically captivated me as it had extremely premium build quality, and holding it gave me a sense of security that even after a decade it would still be in its pristine condition.

However, the lens cap on this thing is rather large and a bit bulky but the protection it provides easily overshadows any flaws it might have.

Even though it doesn’t have the widest aperture in the market, it still preserves a significant amount of bokeh effect at a close range, giving you a taste of flavorsome background blurring to add a cinematic effect to the images.

Reason For Recommendation

It easily falls under the spectrum of one of the finest lenses in the market with robust results and snappy performance due to the integration of top-of-the-line motors in it, however, keep in mind it’s a bit pricey.

EDITOR'S PICK
2. Sony FE 24mm F1.4

2. Sony FE 24mm F1.4

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Standard
  • Focus Type: Auto/Manual
  • Diaphragm Blades: 11
  • Minimum Aperture: F/16
  • Maximum Aperture: F/1.4
  • Weight: 445 g
  • Lens Construction: 2 XA Elements, 3 ED Elements
  • Filter Size: 67 mm
  • Motor: DDSS Wave AF Motor
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 24 cm

A little expensive but packs a punch with an out-of-the-world bokeh effect and decent focal length, the Sony FE 24mm is surely a head-turner if you don’t mind the price tag.

NewFangled Optical technology

To give you a blast of sharpness, accurate contrast colors, and rich vibrancy with the corner-to-corner resolution, the optical glass of this lens is armed with state-of-the-art dual XA(extreme aspherical) elements that work with the conjunction of triple ED(Extra-low dispersion) glass elements.

11 Blade Aperture

This lens truly has some aces up its sleeve and I believe paying top dollar also has its perks too right? Well, any lens with such a massive F1.4 aperture will certainly give you the most gorgeous bokeh effect you may ever have seen.

However, only a few tend to have an 11-blade circular mechanism that keeps the scene sizzling by creating a dreamy effect with an intensely shallow depth of field and no parallel.

No matter whatever subject you focus on, your pictures will look monumentally prepossessing giving you an out-of-the-world experience.

Direct Drive SSM

Top-of-the-line focusing motor is integrated into this lens which is known as DDSSM or Direct drive SSM which has virtually zero delays while it locks onto the subject giving you pinpoint accuracy with lightning-fast precision.

I had a mind-blowing experience with such a superior level of autofocusing motor drive this lens especially while recording for my cousin’s motorsport event and even framed a couple of pictures of him taken during the event,  in his home as he was impressed with the results of this lens.

In other words, it looked fantastic and sharp with immense clarity.

Testing Results

The Sony FE 24mm produces mesmerizing results especially if you take a look at its bokeh results while having its aperture size completely wide open up to F/1.4.

As an added protection, it even has weather sealing to protect moisture and pesky dust particles from making their way inside this beautifully made lens and ruining its innards.

I even tested out its dual rings that control the aperture and focusing of the lens respectively. However, the aperture control ring has special features and makes a click sound on every other 3rd stop.

And even if you do decide to use this lens during videography, you can easily switch off the clicking sound aspect by simply toggling the smooth aperture switch located at the back.

Reason For Recommendation

A decent lens to capture crisp wide-angle shots that work pretty well even in low light conditions.

BEST VALUE
3. Sony SEL2470GM FE 24-70mm
  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Standard
  • Focus Type: Manual Focus
  • Diaphragm Blades: 9
  • Minimum Aperture: f/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/2.8
  • Weight: 886 g
  • Lens Construction: 18 Elements in 13 Groups
  • Filter Size: 82mm
  • Motor: SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor)
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 38 cm

If you want some magnification as well as superior resolution output at the same time, then opt out of the Sony FE 24mm-70mm.

Multiple Lens Control Options

Let’s start the review from the basic aspect, the lens has plenty of buttons and switches to let you shoot through various modes and scenarios.

Such as the Focus switch, which lets you toggle between automatic focusing for dynamic portraits to manual focusing mode which lets you fine-tune the lens focusing drive onto a subject while you are recording videos.

The hold button on the lens lets you pause the autofocusing mechanism on the camera, preventing the sensors from going on a “focus hunt” when performing long-range photography.

Bright as a day

My favorite bit about this versatile telephoto lens is that it even has a constant F2.8 aperture which makes it quite ideal for both indoor and outdoor scenarios, and you can easily disregard external ambient lighting since the aperture is wide enough to take care of lightning problems, resulting in your snapshots look jaw-dropping sharp and full of clarity.

To be honest, I carry this lens in my backpack, especially for nighttime photoshoots, and barely have any noise or distortion-related issues because the combination of Wide aperture and moderate ISO settings does the job fairly well for me.

Perfect Resolution at any distance

Lastly, to meet the high standards of professional grade consumers, the optical glass is greatly optimized through an XA(extreme aspherical) element as well as one ED element, in total 18 elements in 13 groups to deliver precise light wavelength travel path so no there is no compromise on resolution, whether you are shooting at 24mm or up to 70mm.

To sum it up, whether you want to take this advanced telephoto lens for landscape photography or want to capture a sports event, the ratio of disappointment in terms of quality is little to none.

Testing Results

It is far from being a low-profile lens, nevertheless, it still feels significantly lighter than it looks. On a measuring, it weighed around 886g which is considerably lighter than most lenses I have reviewed that have bigger focal lengths.

While almost all premium-grade lenses tend to ship out with a lens hood, this one, on the other hand, has a special petal-shaped hood that even offers a small window that allows you to rotate filters and supports reverse mounting.

The image quality is top-notch at the center even when it kept its highest focal length of F/2.8, however, there might be some form of quality drop at the corners, but stopping down the focal length a little bit rectifies the corner softening issue.

Reason For Recommendation

A lens designed to offer the best value for the money invested into it due to its razor-sharp results and excellent focusing times.

BUDGET PICK
4. Sony SEL24240 FE 24-240mm

4. Sony SEL24240 FE 24-240mm

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Telephoto
  • Focus Type: Piezoelectric
  • Diaphragm Blades: 7
  • Minimum Aperture: f/40
  • Maximum Aperture: F/3.5
  • Weight: 780 g
  • Lens Construction: 17 Elements in 12 Groups
  • Filter Size: 72 mm
  • Motor: Advanced linear motor
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 50 cm

Perfect to track and lock onto your subject from afar, however, the catch here is that the aperture is quite narrow as compared to the above-mentioned products.

Splendid Magnification

I find this lens quite interesting especially while using it in street photography, the ultra-wide option of 24mm serves its purpose beyond my expectation, however, the 240mm complete zoom is no slouch either.

Capturing images and recording videos in public events is no doubt easier than ever, especially if you are standing in a crowd and the subject is a way in the distance like a concert or movie promotional event by celebrities.

Gyro Based on Image stabilization

The lens not only has a tremendous amount of magnification but also has Ultra advanced Gyroscope sensors known as Optical Steady shot which is specially designed to detect vibrations and micro shakes from your wrist and eliminate them in split seconds so you get to experience buttery smooth and stable videography session without needing a gimbal.

Focus with Speed

The most challenging task for a photographer usually is to get snapshots of subjects that are on the go or have a tremendous speed which even the human eye has a hard time tracking and you may often see them as a form of “blur”.

For the Sony FE 24-240mm this feat can be achieved easily through its snappy focusing linear focusing motor drive unit that instantly focuses and delivers very accurate and precise results with no blurring whatsoever.

Optical Glass Technology

As for its optical technology, it has 5 aspherical lens elements as well as Extra-low dispersion to keep chromatic aberration to a bare minimum even at a higher focal length range.

That’s not it yet, even performing outdoor photography under direct sunlight wasn’t an issue for this high-end telephoto lens as the top-of-the-line technology embedded in this lens ensured there is no ghosting or flaring popping up, which may drastically impact the quality of your pictures.

Testing Results

A lens with such an enormous focal length is no doubt going to be a little bit bulky, however, keep in mind it even includes image stabilization features, so every image it produces, regardless of the distance you are shooting at, will come out crisp & clear.

With the hood, the lens measures around 6 ¼ inches, however, once the hood is removed, it’s considerably smaller.

It even has fluorine coating, to prevent fingerprints or any other dust & grime from settling in on the lens glass.

I have to admit though, the lack of a rubber gasket did upset me a little as it provided a perfect sense of security by ensuring the innards stayed safe even during mishandling.

Reason For Recommendation

A flagship-grade lens with a lofty price tag but produces phenomenal results while shooting at a distance, making it quite ideal for vloggers and wildlife photographers.

Best Vlogging Lens For Sony A7iii

Below is a carefully curated compilation of vlogging lenses specifically chosen by experts to cater to the needs of Sony A7III users engaged in vlogging endeavors.

1. Sony FE PZ 16-35mm

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Wide Angle
  • Focus Type: Manual Focus, Auto Focus
  • Diaphragm Blades: 7
  • Minimum Aperture: F/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/4
  • Weight: 353 g
  • Lens Construction: 13 Elements in 12 Groups

  • Motor: 4 XD Linear Motors
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 24 cm

Record your life events and publish them on social media through this lens and you will soon be one of the top-ranking content creators out there since the quality output this lens offers is truly professional grade.

Light as a feather

Weighing merely 566 grams on a measuring scale, this lens is an immaculate solution for those individuals who don’t want to deal with clumsy gear as it can be hard to handle especially if you are hooking too many accessories on your camera.

Leaving no doubt when it comes to the term given by Sony as the “World lightest full frame lens” for content creators.

Quad Linear motors

As a YouTuber and Twitch streamer like me, I often experiment with various lenses for my mirrorless camera, however, oftentimes I get disappointed as they usually suffer from slower autofocus capabilities.

But this one surprised me and put me in awe, whether I am standing in front of my desk to record a video for my channel or simply delivering a mini-podcast, the 4 XD(extreme dynamic) linear autofocus motors rapidly focus and give me a sharp and clear output.

Further, the Power Zoom feature allows me to zoom in and magnify photographs smoothly and instantly.

As a result of its level of steadiness during zooming, oftentimes I don’t even use my gimbal to record myself or any events and the results are incredibly steady as the lens minimizes the angle of view shifts automatically.

Ease of Use

You don’t need to have ample knowledge in order to learn how this lens operates, which makes it quite easy for bloggers who aren’t very tech-savvy to get used to it.

For starters, this lens has triple ring control and each ring has its assigned role, the first ring is for zooming and magnification which you have to rotate clockwise in order to reach maximum focal length.

The second ring is for manual focusing and fine-tuning especially while you are recording videos or capturing dynamic photographs.

Lastly, the third ring lets you control aperture size to increase the depth of field for long-range photography where you don’t want the bokeh effect to obstruct the details of the scenery you want to take images of.

2. Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8

2. Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8

  • Brand: Tamron
  • Lens Type: Standard
  • Focus Type: Auto Focus
  • Diaphragm Blades: 9
  • Minimum Aperture: f/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/2.8
  • Weight: 540 g
  • Lens Construction: 17 Elements in 15 Groups
  • Filter Size: 67 mm
  • Motor: Quiet VXD Linear Motor
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 18 cm

The lens is Compact, fast, and has superb auto focusing capabilities, what more would you need from a lens at such a price rate?

Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive

This Tamron 2nd generation high-speed magnifying lens deserves praise for all the right reasons. For starters, it is armed with a VXD linear motor (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) that puts the competition in the mud.

My high regard for it is due to its great autofocus capabilities and its ability to pass all sorts of subject tracking tests with flying colors during my review of it outdoors during a competitive sports event.

While the camera equipment industry has been excelling exceptionally in terms of autofocusing attributes with insane speeds, some of them may still be quite noisy, which is frowned upon in the mirrorless camera community.

However, the case is different here for the mighty Tamron 28-75, as not only it have tremendously fast focusing speed but makes virtually no sound while you use it, especially while you are recording a video.

Wide Angle Shots and Macro Photography

At first glance the zoom capabilities of this lens may look ordinary, however, you would be surprised that it has 0.18m Minimum allowable distance focusing which lets you use this versatile lens even for macro photography where you can get those super close-up shots with incredible detail without breaking a sweat.

So in other words, the 28-75mm F2.8 serves as an all-rounder not just for your vlogging routine but also in scenarios where you want to unleash your inner artist.

Proprietary software For Future Proofing

What’s even amusing is the fact that this lens even has its own software which keeps the lens firmware updated so that not only do those routine updates eliminate bugs and optimize the overall performance of the lens but it also keeps its hardware future-proofed for years to come.

This prevents your lens from getting obsolete which is quite a neat feature and I believe competing brands should adopt it.

3. Sony 28-135mm FE PZ F4 G

3. Sony 28-135mm FE PZ F4 G

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Standard
  • Focus Type: Stepper Motor
  • Diaphragm Blades: 9
  • Minimum Aperture: f/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/4
  • Weight: 1215 g
  • Lens Construction: 18 Elements in 12 Groups
  • Filter Size: 95 mm
  • Motor: Stepper
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 0.95 m

There is no doubt about the hefty price tag this lens has, however, it is a beast when it comes to the multitude of features that it provides during photoshoots that you won’t find elsewhere.

Fit every Scenario

The Sony A7iii has a 35mm full-frame image sensor, which means hooking this amazing piece of craftwork onto your mirrorless camera makes it a general purpose, suitable for every scenario.

How? Well, at 28mm the lens acts as a wide-angle lens, and at its peak focal length of 135mm, it becomes more of a telephoto which hits the sweet spot for almost all sorts of photography whether it portrait, telephoto, or wide-angle fisheye oriented photoshoot.

Constant Aperture

Another great aspect of this lens is the fact that it preserves its aperture throughout the zooming mechanism, so there is no change in depth of field if you want to have your background defocused while focusing on a still subject.

This implies, that no matter which range you perform your photography session at, the 9-blade circular mechanism will deliver an outstanding bokeh effect that makes your subject pop and look presentably sharp.

5 Axis Optical Steady Shot Image Stabilization

Unlike other lenses listed above which often lack their own image stabilization mechanism and rely majorly on the one that is integrated with your mirrorless camera, the Sony 28-135mm tends to have 5-axis Optical Steady Shot image stabilization which eliminates vibration erupted during focusing as well as camera shake due to wrist movement especially shooting on the go.

Giving you groundbreaking stabilization in your videography as well as portraits that are free from blur and other optical distortion that may arise due to such issues mentioned above.

BEST OVERALL
1. Sony FE 50mm F1.2
  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Standard
  • Focus Type: Auto/Manual
  • Diaphragm Blades: 11
  • Minimum Aperture: f/16
  • Maximum Aperture: f/1.2
  • Weight: 778 g
  • Lens Construction: 14 Elements in 10 Groups
  • Filter Size: 72 mm
  • Motor: 4 XD Linear Motors
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 40 cm

The Sony FE 50mm F1.2 GM offers One of the finest and mightiest bokeh effects you may have ever seen due to its super wide aperture.

11 Blade Circular Aperture

To ensure professional-grade photographers get the best bokeh effect possible with tremendously overwhelming background defocusing, this lens has got the widest 11-blade circular aperture which in my opinion seems to be the shallowest depth of field I have ever seen while performing portrait photography.

Any individual fond of having cinematic portrait shots should most probably think of investing in this gear since at 50mm F1.2 you will have the most luxurious shots you never have imagined before.

Perfect Lens for Night Photography

Low ambient light or poor lighting during indoor photography or performing videography sessions outdoors can make your results ugly and odd

Especially if you have a low aperture option in your and turning up the ISO settings may not be the ideal choice as that might also introduce unnecessary noise and distortion.

However, I don’t think you will ever have to face anything like that while pairing this lens with your Sony A7iii, as the F1.2 aperture is broad enough to let as much light pass through it as possible which will make portraits look bright even if you aren’t using an external flash while performing sessions in the evening.

This allows photographers to have plenty of possibilities to create charismatic and artistic shots that otherwise wouldn’t be possible since they are limited by the lack of proper lighting.

Dust & moisture Resistant

It is important that your gear is protected from all sorts of pesky nuisances like Dust, debris, and moisture buildup which may ruin your lens as well as your camera.

Sony ensures that all their lenses are made from high quality with high technology weather shielding to prevent malfunction or abnormalities appearing while you are busy in extreme regions or outdoors during a shoot.

I mean, after all, spending this much on a portrait lens, you need some form of security in case anything goes wrong.

EDITOR'S PICK
2. Sony FE 35mm F1.4

2. Sony FE 35mm F1.4

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Standard
  • Focus Type: Auto/Manual
  • Diaphragm Blades: 11
  • Minimum Aperture: f/16
  • Maximum Aperture: f/1.4
  • Weight: 524 g
  • Lens Construction: 14 Elements in 10 Groups
  • Filter Size: 67 mm
  • Motor: Quiet XD Linear Motors
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 25 cm

If you aren’t a fan of 50mm lenses and want something that may fall between portrait and wide-angle shots, then I believe this one would do the trick.

State of the Art Optical Technology

To prevent flaring and ghosting from direct sunlight hitting the sensors directly the lens has a unique Nano AR coating which filters harmful rays that may otherwise negatively affect the image quality by causing star-shaped flares to pop up.

Moreover, this lens even takes care of the most redundant and annoying issues such as chromatic aberration and vignetting effect through the use of a dual XA(extreme aspherical) element as well as an ED(Extra-low Dispersion) element that corrects light wavelength, ensuring photographic results produced are top notch and gloriously sharp.

Above Par Bokeh

For some scenarios having an F1.8 or F1.2 aperture may not be as ideal because some individuals would claim the shallow depth of field wouldn’t feel too natural.

However, the F1.4 wide aperture size hits the sweet spot by creating a natural and smooth-looking bokeh effect around the subject at 35mm.

The result is that even novice photographers are able to produce magnificent and cinematic videos and photos, as the 11-blade circular aperture will assist you quite well and make your portfolio stand out of the crowd.

Dual XD linear Motor For speedy Focusing

This lens is suitable for still photographers, as well as videographers, as it has two XD linear motors that provide lightning-fast focusing and crazy response times, so even moving subjects will look sharp in your videos.

In other words, gone are the days when keeping up with mobile subjects was an issue as it would often cause your camera to defocus or produce blurred results, this beast of an optical lens is here to save the day.

BUDGET PICK
3. Sigma 85mm F1.4

3. Sigma 85mm F1.4

  • Brand: Sigma
  • Lens Type: Standard
  • Focus Type: Auto Focus
  • Diaphragm Blades: 11
  • Minimum Aperture: f/16
  • Maximum Aperture: f/1.4
  • Weight: 625 g
  • Lens Construction: 15 Elements in 11 Groups
  • Filter Size: 77 mm
  • Motor: XD Linear Motors
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 85 cm

With a lovely bayonet-style hood and brass mount, the Sigma 85mm is definitely worth the investment as it has an amazing design and praiseworthy focal length for portrait snapshots.

Fit For both Long range And Portrait shots

Although I have listed this lens in the portrait category, you can still use it for outdoor photography and take pictures of any object or individual even if they are standing at a distance as the 85mm on a 35mm full-frame sensor mirrorless camera like the Sony A7iii pairs up pretty well in order to deliver mind blowing cinematography.

However, if you are inclined more towards indoor photography like professional studio shoots, then using this lens for that kind of scenario isn’t a bad idea either.

Focusing Speed

The lens utilizes a stepping autofocus motor which is no doubt very silent, however, my only complaint is that I didn’t find it as snappy as it is supposed to be when it comes to tracking animals, cars, or players during sports events.

As the lens sometimes struggles to lock its focusing motor, resulting in a constant fall in sharpness, I had to try a couple of times in order to get precise results.

Weather Shielding

According to the manufacturer, Sigma, the lens is weather and dust-resistant. Although I have not experimented with the lens by dipping it in water or using it in extreme temperatures to ensure that the claims are true, I was quite confident while using it outdoors, especially in humid weather.

Nonetheless, I would advise you to protect your gear at all times because obviously, they can get quite expensive, especially if you are going full Pro and want to buy all the accessories for your camera.

PREMIUM PICK
4. Sony FE 135mm F1.8

4. Sony FE 135mm F1.8

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Telephoto Prime
  • Focus Type: Auto Focus
  • Diaphragm Blades: 11
  • Minimum Aperture: f/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/1.8
  • Weight: 950 g
  • Lens Construction: 13 Elements in 10 Groups
  • Filter Size: 82 mm
  • Motor: 4 XD Linear Focus Motors
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 70 cm

A Prime lens with a massive focal length and 11 circular mechanisms? Sounds like a “Dream lens” for all photographers across the globe.

Superior Range

With this prime optical lens, you can capture some of the most mind-numbing, clear, and vibrant portraits ever. You will be surprised at the level of magnification it has and the constant aperture factor simply makes the deal even better.

This lens is specially designed for those photographers who often like to capture wildlife in their natural habitat without startling them, as the massive range allows them to shoot at a distance.

In addition to that, this lens can also be quite handy in recording music concerts especially if you want to take close-up shots of your favorite celebrities.

Lightweight Build

Even though the lens is considerably larger than the one listed above, it doesn’t feel bulky at all, which is amazing as it won’t weigh you down even after hours of performing a photo session.

Due to its magnesium alloy build, this lens has a portability factor that makes it flimsy and sturdy enough to not accidentally break under stress or impact.

Quad XD(Extreme Dynamic) linear Focus

Lastly, keep your camera still and free from vibrations with perfect focusing so that you can create the sharpest portraits possible for your portfolio.

The inclusion of a floating focus mechanism along with four XD extreme dynamic linear focus motor drives stabilizes and provides precision to the lens while tracking an object by locking the focus mechanism onto it as quickly as possible.

To sum it up, I believe having such a high-end mechanism integrated into the lens is totally well worth the money as it will surely enhance your skills in the long run.

In terms of the build quality, the lens surely has a no-nonsense approach since the complete build is made from lightweight metal alloy which means users don’t have to face quality degradation after a longer period of use.

Every photographer and photography admirer loves a vague and shallow depth of field, however not every lens has the capability to do so due to poor blade mechanism.

But, the Rokinon 35mm F1.8 presents a natural and breathtaking bokeh effect which automatically makes the object or the point you are focusing on tremendously sharp.

I have to admit, the secret behind such fantastic cinematography shots from this lens is no doubt due to its 9-blade diaphragm which gives a natural aurora and professional feel to my videos and portraits alike.

An All-rounder

Whether you want to perform your modeling photography sessions indoors or have a casual street-based vlog for your YouTube channel or portfolio, the 35mm surely delivers a mind-boggling quality and peak vibrancy by providing one of the best magnification of 35mm, since it is specially designed for the Sony Mirrorless cameras.

Budget Friendly

Lastly, I feel like browsing through so many lenses on Amazon, there are only a number of them that don’t cost an arm and a limb.

And that’s exactly why I added this one to this article as not only does it pack a punch but it even has quite an amazing price-to-value ratio.

EDITOR'S PICK
3. Sony FE 50mm F2.5

3. Sony FE 50mm F2.5

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Standard
  • Focus Type: Auto/Manual
  • Diaphragm Blades: 7
  • Minimum Aperture: f/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/2.5
  • Weight: 174 g
  • Lens Construction: 9 Elements in 9 Groups
  • Filter Size: 49 mm
  • Motor: Two Linear Motors
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 31 cm

My personal favorite, the nifty fifty, is so tiny and flimsy that you won’t even feel like you are carrying it in your hands.

Smallest in the League

It’s so tiny that it barely covers my palm and calling it a compact prime lens would simply be an understatement of the year. The 50mm Sony FE weighs merely 172 grams with a length of  4.09 x 3.43 x 4.69 inches.

It’s quite unbelievable how they even came up with the design while packing so many mechanisms in it. Nonetheless, if you are looking for this sort of low-profile lens, then consider this lens has your name written on it.

Powerful And laser Sharp

Sony lenses always surprise me with the level of advanced engineering they often have, in terms of focusing, this one has one of the finest autofocusing mechanisms that produce fantastic imagery in both auto and manual modes.

It is pretty known smaller lenses tend to have resolution drop but Sony’s nifty 50mm, being a tiny champion excels through all sorts of scenarios by providing rich, full-of-color results which will blow your mind.

Its triple Aspherical optical technology ensures users get the most premium-looking photographs possible while being the lightest lens on the market.

Superb Aperture

On the other hand, the lens even has a decent aperture size of F2.5, which may be odd to some individuals as these sorts of prime lenses tend to fall between the F1.4 or F1.8 aperture range.

Nonetheless, the bokeh quality looks way too dreamy and beautiful for such a compact lens.

While using this prime lens in nighttime photoshoots, I noticed that you may struggle sometimes with ISO-based noise, so keep an external flashlight nearby to provide adequate lighting for your subject.

EXPENSIVE PICK
4. Tamron 28-200 F/2.8-5.6

4. Tamron 28-200 F/2.8-5.6

  • Brand: Tamron
  • Lens Type: All-In-One
  • Focus Type: Auto Focus
  • Diaphragm Blades: 7
  • Minimum Aperture: f/16
  • Maximum Aperture: f/2.8
  • Weight: 575.5 g
  • Lens Construction: 18 Elements in 14 Groups
  • Filter Size: 67 mm
  • Motor: Quietest RXD Stepping Motor
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 19.05 cm

This telephoto lens from Tamron has a solid design, substantial magnification, and an avant-garde RXD motor.

Weight Dimension and Length

Despite being a telephoto lens with a massive focal length of 28mm-200mm, it doesn’t feel bulky at all weighing at 575grams with just 117mm length, making it suitable for users that travel a lot, especially to hilly areas where you have plenty of equipment in your backpack and you don’t want your lenses to weigh you down.

Moreover, it is also quite a great pick for gimbal users as it is very payload-friendly and wouldn’t affect the balancing and stabilizing factor.

Variable Aperture

With a maximum aperture of F2.8 at 28mm, you can easily record videos or take snapshots with superb bokeh.

However, the aperture changes once you zoom all the way up to 200mm causing the aperture to reduce its size down to F5.6 which isn’t that bad as you still have some form of bokeh remaining, however, the lens retains plenty of depth of field, so at end of the day, we would call it a win-win situation.

Extraordinary Stepping Drive

For silent and vibration-free focusing especially while recording videos at long range, Tamron has embedded RXD(Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) stepping motor unit which has a rapid response in terms of locking its point on the object and delivering laser sharp results.

All in all, this lens is very suitable for those users who often like to travel a lot or are often on the move across the globe and want to capture the beauties of nature.

Best Wide Angle Lens For Sony A7iii

The Sony A7iii mirrorless camera is no doubt one of the finest and most outstanding cameras that has ever made in the history of the photography industry.

Its full-frame feature is quite remarkable and still holds up to today’s standards without a doubt. Nonetheless, it is also widely known that no matter which camera you buy and how expensive it gets, you won’t be going too far with a kit lens.

And that’s exactly why most photographers, videographers, YouTubers, and vloggers prefer to have an aftermarket lens to capture better, crispier, and more gorgeous images that have no parallel in terms of quality and detail.

That being said, if you want to take such mouth-watering images, then I believe you need a wide-angle lens as it perfectly captures everything in front of you, without it being cropped.

Speaking of wide angles, here we are with the list of best wide-angle lenses for Sony A7iii that enhance your photography tenfold.

BEST OVERALL
1. Sony - FE 16-35mm F2.8

1. Sony - FE 16-35mm F2.8

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Wide Angle
  • Focus Type: Auto Focus
  • Diaphragm Blades: 11
  • Minimum Aperture: f/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/2.8
  • Weight: 680 g
  • Lens Construction: 16 Elements in 13 Groups
  • Filter Size: 82 mm
  • Motor: Stepper Motor
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 28 cm

Presenting you one of the most exquisite lenses of the year, the Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM which is quite versatile and can be used in almost all sorts of outdoor photography.

Wide Aperture

Personally testing this lens for a portrait shoot had me absolutely perplexed since the Bokeh came out tremendously stunning with the F2.8 aperture.

The Wide aperture ensures all light passes through the lens so that the individual or subject you are shooting looks crisp and sharp while the background looks artsy with that lovely “Blur” effect you always wanted.

Lightweight Design

The lens itself is quite compact and weighs only around 680 grams which means it is so light you won’t even feel like you are carrying anything in your hand.

Although some might argue that the topic of weight can be irrelevant, I would say it plays an important role when you want to place your camera on a gimbal that has limited payload capacity.

Moreover, it also makes the overall traversal easy if you carry it in your backpack with a couple of other camera equipment.

Variable Focal Length

Another commendable feature of this nifty lens is that capturing wide-angle shots is tremendously easy, you don’t even have to position yourself constantly in order to capture the perfect frame.

The reason behind this is that this lens has a variable focal length which lets you choose from 16mm to capture those immensely large “Group Photos” or you can simply opt-out for a portrait mode photography at a 35mm focal length where you will be able couture some mind-blowing cinematic shots of your buddies or yourself.

Focus Switch

Focusing while shooting on your camera is quite an important aspect and shouldn’t be overlooked as it can drastically improve or impair your photography skills.

This is why personally I always choose to shoot in Automatic mode which you can enable by flicking the switch at the right end of the lens and it will automatically focus on your subjects for you.

However, for experts who have vast experience and don’t want to bother with the lens’s automatic mode or simply want to indulge in “Night Sky Photography ” where the focus can be irrelevant, manual mode can help you take some desirable shots.

Image Stabilization

The only downside I believe here is that this prime lens lacks its own image stabilization module, however, the 5-axis optical in-body image stabilization makes up for it and overshadows this flaw easily.

BUDGET PICK
2. Sony FE 20mm F1.8 (Fixed Lens)

2. Sony FE 20mm F1.8 (Fixed Lens)

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Wide Angle
  • Focus Type: Auto Focus
  • Diaphragm Blades: 9
  • Minimum Aperture: f/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/1.8
  • Weight:  373 g
  • Lens Construction: 14 Elements in 12 Groups
  • Filter Size: 67 mm
  • Motor: Extreme Dynamic Linear Motors (XDLM)
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 18 cm

The next contender on the list is the Sony FE 20mm F1.8 G which has solid performance output and an amazing price-to-value ratio.

9 Blade Aperture

While reviewing lenses, especially the prime ones, beautiful bokeh is something you would expect the most, since this is the first advantage of having a larger aperture such as an F1.8 G.

But, to my surprise, I was amazed to find out that not only does it have a dreamy and natural background blurring effect but it has a circular feel due to the 9-blade aperture mechanism which enhances the experience tenfold.

Using this prime lens during night photography while having a couple of Christmas lights in the background feels like I am shooting in a wonderland as the colorful led lights feel like candy behind the subject.

Advanced Aspherical Lens Element

Wide-angle lenses are quite amazing for all sorts of close-range photography, however, you would notice a sudden drop in depth of detail when shooting something in the distance, especially if the focal length isn’t that high.

However, you won’t have to worry with this lens, as it is equipped with Advanced Aspherical lens element integration ensures you get perfect resolution output with super sharp images without any sort of imperfection such as Chromatic aberrations and easily compensates for field curvatures.

Dual XD motor

It even has a unique motor system known as XD motor, which is a double Extreme dynamic motor that minimizes delays and perfectly syncs up to your camera tracking and autofocus system so that images and videos look perfect without any blemishes or blurring.

Moreover, it even works quite well while your camera is in silent mode, so not only can you work on your photography projects while keeping a low profile but also efficiently without facing any errors related to autofocus.

Extra Low Dispersion

My personal favorite feature about this lens is the integration of triple Extra-Low dispersion glass that filters out some of the most annoying issues like axial chromatic aberration and chromatic aberration and refines the image to eliminate issues like Ghosting as well as Flaring which may make your images look dull with low clarity.

BEST VALUE
3. Sony FE 14mm F1.8 (Fixed Lens)

3. Sony FE 14mm F1.8 (Fixed Lens)

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Wide Angle
  • Focus Type: Auto Focus
  • Diaphragm Blades: 9
  • Minimum Aperture: f/16
  • Maximum Aperture: f/1.8
  • Weight: 460 g
  • Lens Construction: 14 Elements in 11 Groups
  • Filter Size: 49mm
  • Motor: 2 Extreme Dynamic Linear Motors (XDLM)
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 25 cm

The Sony FE 14mm is crowned as the King of angle lenses due to its amazing focal length with a lovely aperture.

Ultra Wide View

Upon hooking it up onto my Sony A7iii I was able to take some clean wide-angle shots, as the 14mm has the capacity to capture almost everything that is around you without the need for constantly positioning yourself.

Moreover, I found the ultra-wide lens to be incredibly useful for taking images in a football stadium, landscapes, and sceneries since it creates a fisheye effect through its super wide focal length aspect of 14mm with an angle of view of 114 degrees.

Luxurious Bokeh

The shots produced by this lens are no doubt breathtaking but wait till you take a look at its incredibly beautiful bokeh effect that it produces while perfectly focusing on the subject you are pointing at.

The F1.8 aperture hits the sweet spot for portrait photography as well as ensures plenty of light passes through its sensor so you can easily perform your photoshoot even in dim or poorly lit rooms.

Moreover, you can even decrease the aperture down to F/16 to gain some depth of field if you are shooting where the light is in abundance such as outdoors during the daytime or in a studio.

After taking a thorough look at the bokeh effect made by this lens, I noticed how gorgeous it looked with a circular feel, all thanks to the 9-blade mechanism integrated into it.

Dual Extra Low Dispersion

Axial Chromatic Aberration and chromatic aberration arise when various light wavelengths do not converge through the camera lens at the same point, which causes a “Rainbow effect” which is basically an optical defect that makes images look out of focus or with poor colors.

The Dual Extra-low dispersion technology ensures no such defect arises by correctly converging the light wavelength and eliminating any sort of chromatic aberration issues you may previously have had with any other lenses.

Manual/AutoFocus Switch

Whether you want to take some super sharp, full-of-clarity images or want to manually focus in videos to shoot a movie, the manual/Automatic Focus switch is here to save the day.

Simply flick it and you will be able to manually focus or let the camera do its job, whatever suits you best!

4. Sony 16-35mm T FE F4 ZA

4. Sony 16-35mm T FE F4 ZA

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Wide Angle
  • Focus Type: Auto Focus
  • Diaphragm Blades: 7
  • Minimum Aperture: f/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/4
  • Weight: 518 g
  • Lens Construction: 12 Elements in 10 Groups
  • Filter Size:  72 mm
  • Motor: Extreme Dynamic Linear Motors (XDLM)
  • Minimum Focusing Distance:  28 cm

Whether you are going for close-up macro shots or landscape photography, the Sony 16-35mm can do it all.

Built-in Image Stabilization

Armed with cutting-edge “Optical Steadyshot” image stabilization, getting the perfect shot on the move is no longer a dream, even without a gimbal, the lens preserves stability throughout your photography projects with ease.

Although the Sony A7iii also has in-body stabilization, additional stabilization in the lens is always an appreciated gesture because who wouldn’t love crystal-clear snapshots?

Variable Focal Length

On the other hand, the lens also provides zooming onto your subjects since it has a variable focal length from 16mm for close-up for ultra-wide angles that can also act as macro shots to 35mm for landscape or portrait photography by rotating the focus ring.

Legendary ZEISS T-Star Coating

In order to minimize sunlight glare and strong ambient flares popping up onto your camera, there is a special coating known as the legendary ZEISS T-star which drastically eliminates reflections to get outstanding imagery and maintain contrast and color that look natural especially while shooting outdoors landscapes.

Constant Aperture Settings

You won’t be able to get those “Sweet Bokeh” effects on the fixed F4 aperture, however, the depth of field is preserved no matter which focal length you are performing your photography at.

Moreover, even though the aperture is not as big as F1.8, it still allows significant light to pass through it to preserve contrast and maintain exposure while working with considerable ambient light settings.

However, you may want to turn up the ISO configuration to get better snapshots or videos, otherwise, your results will look grainy.

Dust & Moisture Resistance

Securing your investment should be your utmost priority, and that’s exactly why Sony has taken countermeasures against pesky dust and moisture from entering the lens and causing it to malfunction while working in a humid or extreme outdoor region.

However, I would still advise you to take care of your equipment as you can never be so sure, by keeping it covered in a plastic bag just in case you are traveling or want to store it for a very long time period.

MID RANGE PICK
5. Sigma 213965 14-24mm F2.8

5. Sigma 213965 14-24mm F2.8

  • Brand: Sigma
  • Lens Type: Wide Angle
  • Focus Type: Auto/Manual
  • Diaphragm Blades: 11
  • Minimum Aperture: f/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/2.8
  • Weight: 795 g
  • Lens Construction: 18 Elements in 13 Groups
  • Filter Size: Gel Filter
  • Motor: Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM)
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 27.94 cm

Manufactured in Japan, the Sigma 14-24mm is truly a masterpiece when it comes to wide-angle lenses for all the right reasons that I am going to be naming below.

11 Blade Rounded Diaphragm

Whether you want to capture artistic imagery or go full Pro for a cinematic experience, this bad boy will never disappoint you.

The F2.8 produces an earth-shattering bokeh effect that looks exceedingly beautiful by defocusing on your background, all thanks to the 11-blade Rounded Diaphragm system.

You can even narrow down the aperture as low as F 22 to get super sharp images of landscapes. However, be mindful that you have an ample amount of lightning and ISO settings too high.

Focal length Variation

The best part is that you can use it for almost all indoor and outdoor photography projects without a hassle as it has a variable focal length which can range from a lovely ultra-wide 14mm to 24mm with a 144.2-degree angle of view.

Personally, I like to take snapshots on the 14mm settings which gives me a beautiful fisheye effect, especially in a moderately sized packed room or hockey stadium where I want to capture the whole scenario since mobility in such areas is quite limited.

On the other hand, taking macro shots and capturing minute details of animals for my documentary purposes turns out to be incredibly detailed and looks extremely sharp.

Weight Specifications

It has moderate weight specifications of 795 grams and you can easily hook it to your mirrorless Full Frame Sony A7iii without feeling weighed.

Just make sure you get a decent gimbal with high payload specifications in case you want to pair it up with other accessories.

As for the overall diameter of the lens, it is approximately 85.0mm x 131.0mm.

Full-Time Manual Focus

Lastly, you can even benefit from its full-time manual focus feature while recording crispy videos simply by rotating the focus ring and manually focusing on your subject, although I believe that can be quite challenging for users who don’t have adequate experience while shooting in manual mode.

BEST THIRD PARTY
6. Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8

6. Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8

  • Brand: Tamron

  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 19 cm

Lastly, we have the infamous Tamron 17-28mm which is a little expensive, however, is embedded with tons of features.

Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive

This is by far the most robust lens made for mirrorless cameras as it is powered by a cutting-edge RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) motor unit that ensures that your camera precisely tracks moving subjects with minimal delay times.

This feature ensures your camera accurately focuses on your subject and minimizes any chance of image blurring or any other optical defects.

Fluorine Coating

It’s made from top-of-line premium material and even has moisture-resistant coating as well as Fluorine coating that keeps both fingerprint and moisture build-up at bay.

So you don’t have to worry about cleaning your lens every now and then after you are done with your photography sessions.

This special coating also protects your lens from getting scratched by mishandling or placing fingers directly onto the glass, which is pretty beneficial in the long run.

Dual LD Lens Element

Moreover, the lens also filters sunlight glare and prevents optical defects like Chromatic aberration, shading, and distortion to be appearing in your images and ensures all your snapshots generated are up to the standard, all credits due to the Dual LD lens element and XLD lens element.

Variable Focal Length

Lastly, the focal length varies from 17mm-28mm for both close-up and Ultra wide shots with a super wide aperture of F/2.8 so not only does the subject you are focusing on have immense detail but your background has lovely bokeh with shallow depth of field.

1. Sony - FE 24-105mm

  • Minimum Aperture: f/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/4

  • Lens Construction: 17 Elements in 14 Groups
  • Filter Size: 77 mm
  • Motor: DDSM (Direct Drive Super-Sonic Motor)
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 38 cm

A lens with a comprehensive mechanism with corner-to-corner resolution output throughout its magnification, the Sony FE 24-105 is well worth the money once you dig into the details.

Unique Stabilization System

This is the feature that is often missing even in high-end lenses and without it, you will suffer a lot especially if your camera doesn’t have its in-body stabilization system.

The optical steady shot stabilization module firmly counteracts small shakes generated from your wrist or while you are performing shots on the go and gives buttery smooth stability so your videos don’t have a constant jerk effect resulting in them looking extremely professional.

Keep in mind, mirrorless cameras such as Sony A7iii have their own built-in stabilization system, and pairing it with the lens 5-axis optical stabilization gives users an advantage in terms of firmness so you can use your camera even without a gimbal.

Focal length for a variety of purposes

My favorite bit about this lens is the fact that you can use it in a wide array of scenarios or circumstances such as Photojournalism, wildlife photography, or videography for documentary purposes, portraiture, modeling, and showcasing as well as capturing travel vlogs for content creation for your youtube or channel social media profiles.

The possibilities are endless with the Sony FE 24-105mm and all you have to do is turn the focus ring clockwise in order to unleash your creative beast for the world to see.

Silent & Reliable Motor Drive

Sony proprietary Direct Drive supersonic motor unit is a blazing fast, high response, minimal delay focusing motor unit that tracks, focuses, and locks onto a subject no matter how far away it’s from you with razor-sharp quality that virtually has no parallel, making it one of the fast and the most silent focusing drive in the market.

PREMIUM PICK
2. Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8

2. Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Telephoto
  • Focus Type: Auto Focus
  • Diaphragm Blades: 11
  • Minimum Aperture: f/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/2.8
  • Weight: 1480 g
  • Lens Construction: 23 Elements in 18 Groups
  • Filter Size: 77 mm
  • Motor: SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor)
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 96 cm

If you don’t mind the weight, the Sony FE 70-200 is a unique-looking telephoto lens and in fact one of the coolest ones out there.

Flavorsome Bokeh

Sony has done a commendable job at creating this lens which not only has terrific magnification but manages to maintain a super wide  F2.8 aperture throughout the zoom.

This ensures you get a lovely, super smooth, and well-rounded bokeh effect that looks considerably natural without being too overwhelming on the subject.

It’s quite amusing and perplexing to me how well they have managed to embed the 11-blade circular mechanism, the shots I take with this telephoto lens look like its been shot by a studio-grade professional, causing my Instagram profile to gain quite a popularity.

Close Up Photography

Even though I find this lens more suitable for range photo sessions like concert-based photography or photojournalism, my experience with it during close-up shots wasn’t too disappointing either.

Matter of fact it was staggering for me to find out that it has a bare minimum focusing distance of 37.8 inches and still all my “Pseudo Macro ” snapshots had incredible details.

At 70mm focal length, even embarking in some portraits of random individuals during street photography came out incredibly sharp with warm contrast.

Dust & Moisture Proof

I often advise all my photographer buddies to take full measures when it comes to keeping their gear safe from all sorts of hazards.

I mean it’s nice to have a lens like this one that has weather shielding to prevent dust and water droplets or moisture from entering the inner circulatory system, but its sole responsibility is to keep it from extreme temperature and hazardous scenarios.

Best Budget Lenses For Sony A7iii

Let’s move to the budget-friendly lenses designed for the Sony A7III, perfect matches for your camera without breaking the bank.

BEST OVERALL
1. Sony E 55-210mm F4.5-6.3

1. Sony E 55-210mm F4.5-6.3

  • Brand: Sony
  • Lens Type: Telephoto
  • Focus Type: Stepper Motor
  • Diaphragm Blades: 7
  • Minimum Aperture: f/22
  • Maximum Aperture: f/4.5
  • Weight: 345 g
  • Lens Construction: 13 Elements in 9 Groups
  • Filter Size: 49 mm
  • Motor: Quiet Linear Motors
  • Minimum Focusing Distance: 1 m

Want a telephoto lens but feeling a little tight on budget? The Sony E 55-210mm is here to save the day and fulfill all your desires under a “pocket-friendly” price tag.

Solid Design

Even though the lens wouldn’t cost you much, in terms of quality, it isn’t a slouch as the whole housing is made from magnesium alloy that keeps internal safe and protected from external impact.

On the other hand, I kind of love the rubberized focus and zoom ring feel since it makes it quite satisfying to rotate, as those rings feel firm yet require some torque in order to prevent accidental touches during video recording.

However, the only caveat here is that this lens doesn’t have any form of weather shielding so you need to be careful when performing sessions outdoors.

Optical Steady Shot Stabilization

Once again I have to remind you that don’t let the price fool you, as this lens is packed with some handy features like an Optical Steady Shot Stabilization system which keeps the inner mechanism steady and stable while also keeping the noise ratio as low as possible so you don’t hear those weird “Vibration & coil whining” sound while reviewing your videography results.

Anti Aberration Elements

I am not in the habit of keeping high expectations from budget-based lenses and keeping the bar moderately low when reviewing them.

However, this lens did baffle me with the level of quality and robust performance it provided through its optical glass. All my snapshots, portraits, and landscape videography had superb color grading with well-balanced contrast with plenty of depth of field.

In total, the lens has 13 elements in 9 groups with four aspherical elements that preserve perfect light wavelength throughout the zoom.

For photographic hobbyists and prosumers who want a reliable telephoto lens with solid performance, then you should probably invest in this lens.

Being a camera enthusiast, sometimes you don’t have the financial capacity to spend big bucks on lenses or other accessories and it’s perfectly understandable, so here is something to quench the thirst at an affordable rate.

Perfect For Close-ups

Go ahead, get really close and personal with your subject, and capture all the details through the Rokinon FE 14mm Super wide focal length which has a minimum allowable distance(MOD)  of 11.02 inches (28cm).

On the other hand, if you want to take group photographs indoors, the fish eye effect will preserve all the beautiful memories with ease.

Anti Flare & Ghosting

Who said you cannot have it under budget-friendly price tags? Well, this lens even has a super multi-layer coating on the optical glass to filter out strong ambient lightning to prevent star-shaped flares or ghosting from appearing while you are recording videos or taking portraits outdoors.

This makes photographic sessions under direct sunlight quite easy and you don’t need to have special hoods in order to provide ample shade to the camera sensors.

However, it does come with a petal-shaped camera hood, in case you want to use it though.

Cinematic Bokeh

It even has a reasonable aperture size of F2.8 which is not that bad since the bokeh effect is commended by 7 7-blade circular diaphragm to ensure smooth and natural defocusing around the object your camera is focusing on during videos.

I recorded a couple of skits for my YouTube channel with this lens, and I can gladly claim the results were not disappointing considering the price tag I bought this lens for.
